Tom Brady gives us the ultimate soul obsession lesson
Even if you hate him, you knew it was going to happen, right? I’m talking about Tom Brady winning the Super Bowl last weekend! Woohoo!!
I know, New England sports fans are so annoying (guilty!), but even if you aren’t into American football, it’s still pretty clear that Tom Brady is following his life’s calling. He’s a great example of someone who is living out his soul obsession.
One of the big reasons for his HUGE success is that he’s consistently taking risks to expand his gifts.
We all have these internal obsessions.
My internal obsession is helping people thrive. I’m always coming up with ideas, making connections and introductions to help people succeed—whether or not I’m getting paid for it.
My little sister @tsui_amy (instagram), on the other hand, has been drawing and sketching for as long as I’ve known her. Her soul is obsessed with creating art and exploring the world through art. No wonder she is an amazing tattoo artist!

Our soul obsessions help us bring a new level of innovation into the world.
It also shows us our personal dharma and leads us to our path of internal growth and fulfillment. This obsession urges us to tap into our genius and impact the world around us.
Last week, I spoke about tapping into your genius and how often we block ourselves from opening the door to the secret garden of our ambitions. This week, I want us to hone that ambition and realize that owning the mission of our soul obsession takes risks.
Even, Brady took the ultimate risk. At the height of his success, when he had the most to lose, he left a team that won him 6 Super Bowls to join another team that had not won a single trophy in 18 years.
Look what happened when he followed his calling.

When you follow your soul obsession (from a place of love and balance) you get MASSIVE wins!
You might be pulled to explore new areas of your work or you might be urged by your spirit to chase a different path altogether. Whatever your soul is itching to tackle on, follow it.
Denying your soul of this will leave you feeling as though you have not maxed out on your full potential. You’ll feel as though there’s a part of you that is missing. We’re talking about ultimate FOMO.
